Title: Blow Artist: Gabrielle D’Andrea & Andy Funk
A decent house track that features minimal beats, minimal bass line and reasonable production. After the spoken female vocal kicks in, blow drops into a nice semi-breakdown which welcomes the introduction of the sax. The sax grooves along to create a nice warm fuzzy feeling. What distinguishes this track from the plethora of other sax-house tracks is that it quite simply rips the hook from the Bucketheads/ Kenny Dope’s “The Bomb (These sounds fall into my mind)”. For that reason it works on the listener and works on the floor and brings a cheeky smile to faces. Granted, the percussion also helps lift the track. Time will tell whether the novelty wears off. Cool and cute.
