Here is a link to a site with postings dated 2000-2001 from a guy named
'John Titor'
who claims to be a time traveller from the future (2036). He says he was sent back to the year 1975 to collect a rare computer from IBM to fix the problem with the unix counter which runs out in 2038. Then he jumped forward to 2000 to hang out on the internet.
