Ben

Your "out of control" exhibition was the source of much amusement, bemusement and entertainment my young apprentice. Tomfoolery and skylarking were alive and well, but indeed we did have a swell time.

Key moments included you kissing and hugging the speakers, standing mesmerised whilst watching me mix 2 turnatbles and a CD player at the same time and you running around pulling (attempts included) many fine (and some less than fine) young ladies. I am glad though that when I dropped one of my only "old" tracks of the evening ("Something's Goin' On" by Mystic 3 - Dronez Rmx) that perhaps your previously exhibited attitude to tracks on the Subliminal label may have been reconsidered...

People may wish to peruse the photos of you in order to get a fuller understanding of the situation. Click here to see Ben James in action

As for coming in to the show, it's all ready sorted.

As for your intended trip, Melbourne will never be the same again...

Don't cry for me....Argentina! (none / 0) (#13)

Blisterning barnacles. The memeories are flooding back. I can't believe I resorted to the old kiss'n'caress-the-speaker routine. Interesting you describe them as 'key moments', not 'highlights' or 'finer moments'. ^_^

I had a great night though, thanks for the tunes and the door list. That Subliminal tune did indeed tilt my bias on the label slightly. The photos are deceptively innocent.

On a sadder note...my pulling efforts were largely unrewarded. One stunning young lass was as excited as a chubby teenager in a candy store with a sale on cup cakes, until she heard the words of 'don't trust that man' courtesy of one Bill Fragos. Having lost the battle but not the war, I began trying my hand in the seldom ventured waters of the brunettes. I believe at one stage I stooped so low as to use the old 'it's your Birthday? Have you had a Birthday kiss yet?' What was left of any dignity I had is nothing but a memory after Saturday night.

Catch you in the studio on the 25th, and I'll be sure to report of any mayhem occuring in the eastern land. Feel free to bring in all your decks and I'll pull off an 8 deck 6 CD live-MC blindfolded mix.

Ben James.

CHOON!
