Over the last month or so it has become increasingly common for people to inform me how they consider the SoulGood charts and purchase tracks that appear in them. We are also getting a significant number of visits/hits on the SoulGood charts from across the world (the highest number of visits on the website along with the events/photos).

I was asked if I was concerned about the increasing popularity of the SoulGood charts and likewise the number of DJs who then go on to play these tracks (especially if they play them before one of my sets!). The SoulGood charts are here to inspire and guide DJs and lovers alike. It is about creating an understanding and an appreciation for house music and assisting in developing a house scene.

My only hope is that others are inspired to do likewise. As for other DJs who play the same tracks before a set of other DJs (knowing that track is a signature tune of the next DJ), again I will say that there is more value in being innovative and not imitative, and playing the track in a unique way. There is also value in showing respect.
