Full Title: Afrocatalans - Danny Marquez & Ferry B (Hardsoul's Emocion Tropical Treatment) on Bubble Soul Spain.
This track originally came out last year and was featured in the SoulGood Top10 in August 2003. Lovely warm production on this remix by Hardsoul, making the track more appealing to dance floor. The track features a nice latino influence, solid bassline and great keys. Afrocatalans builds up with strong beats before leading into the breakdown where the sampled “hook” (Magalena) is introduced to great effect. The percussion also complements the vocal, as do the additional keyboard “fills”. The track moves along and does not over use the sample, allowing the arrangement to really show off the production. The main breakdown is spot on, and conducive to getting the crowd clapping and worked up when the bassline enters. An all round great track and probably one of the biggest latin house crossover tracks since Pasilda by Afromedusa. An unquestionable must.
