Well bugger me if I don't get 2 fresh shipments in and nowhere to play dem. Well screw you guys. You can hear 'em when I'm back from the sin bin :-)

Shipment One
  • Da Player - DJ Fen -
I'm buying some 2 step tunes, because Adelaide seems to love it. I know - they're slow to catch on, but I believe 2 step is so under represented/rated in the ukg scene right now that it's due for a big revival. And when it happens I want to be right there. I love this stuff.

  • Flim - DJ Zinc feat Slarta John - Big Big Tings.

  • Essential Dubs Vol 1 - DND -
    Contains dub of Insidaz below..

  • Call Me - Dub Syndicate -
Hrm, more 2 step. This one sez relentless on it. I don't think so...

  • The EQ Project - El B and Qualifide -
Sample from George Benson. Quality 4/4

  • Ladies Man - Insidaz (DND) -
DND are makin some rollin 4/4. Style all their own. Love it.

  • Just Being Fooled - Qualifide -
I didn't like this much when I heard it on preview, but it has really grown on me.

  • Destination Weekend -
Wideboys v Norris 'Da Boss' Windross - It's a must have. Missed this one on the first go round and back ordered.

  • It's a Love Thing - Wideboys -
MORE 2 step :-) See a pattern forming? One for the ladies. Noice.

Shipment Two
  • Tabacco - Beatfreaks
Surprised at the 4/4 nature of this one, quite different from previous beatfreaks releases but still a HEAVY release

  • Cry Me A River - DJ Dready
You WISH I was back on air so you could hear this one. Quality beats. Pity the Acappella is the usual shit you hear MCs spouting these days. Bang Bang indeed. Bang my balls. :-) Upd:Oh, I forgot to mention that the B side of this is Invade which is doing big things..

  • Nu Generation EP - GE
QUALITY 4/4! Not often you hear stuff that pushes the genre, and let's face it 4/4 is 4/4, but these choons manage to have a few fresh twists.

  • Waiting For The Rain - K Warren feat 2 Ton
You know a tunes on the cutting edge when it comes with a soca remix ;-) One for Trucker.

  • It's All In Vain - Magnolia
Nice vibey tune. Probably going to be big. Only just found out there's a Sticky remix doing the rounds!

  • Bingo Beats Vol 3 Sampler
Huge. This is a monster 4 tracker from Darquan, Wizzbit, Wonder and Jammin.

  • Can't Live - Same People feat Valerie M
Main mix of this is fairly good vocal 4/4 but the double B side is surprisingly dubby and chilled. Very cool.

  • Feel My Love - The Jam Experience
STILL more quality 4/4 - gad I can't wait to get back on the air. Soon my pretties...

UPDATE: I forgot - I also got 'Stand Up' by Stereotyp. BIG BIG BIG. Pon Remote is killer bashment style - outta mean streets a Brixton!
