ATFC and Warren Clarke don’t happen to have appeared together recently, probably due to the fact that each has been busy with a number of other tracks and remixes. “States of Being” is a little different to the perception that some have of the Lab Rats, with the track being more in the vein of “Go Deeper” (flip side of “Love Jam”) or “Hoo Argh Yoo” (flip side of “Suzi”) as opposed to “Music Is My Way Of Life”. “States of Being” is a tough house choon that builds nicely and has a progressive element to it. This EP is well produced, tough and slides well into deeper darker sets. “Beefcakes” has a funky, slight electro element to its “toughness” and is equally suited to deeper darker sets.
