Title: Voodoo Magic
Artist: Major Boys featuring Kathy Brown

Major Boys have put a few tracks and remixes out recent, perhaps most noted for their 2003 offering “Panamerica”. This offering features the talented Kathy Brown, who puts in a great performance. There is a slow but steady build up with vocal samples used nicely before the first breakdown. What “makes” this track is the first breakdown, which features awesome filters and vocals to match. Looped delays are used prominently to create a wicked build up before the track kicks in to a string laden disco-esque house track which then slides into a nice funky groove. Perhaps the only let down is the quality of the production (good but not great) and the arrangement in the latter half of the track seems to drag on. But otherwise, a very cool track indeed!
