Over the weekend I saw a few movies...

Malibu's Most Wanted
Funny. About a white kid who thinks he's black played by Jamie Kennedy.

Bad Eggs
Been waiting to see this one for ages, and while I thought it was pretty good, it was a bit slow in places. Has some quite funny bits though.

Run Ronnie Run
This was awesome. Based around a sketch on 'Mr Show with Bob and Dave', which stars Ronnie Dobbs as the shirtless guy who's always getting arrested on 'Cops'. Well worth watching if you think white trash humour is funny.

i thought Bad Eggs really was a bad egg! I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. The word LAME comes to mind. Those few (and i mean few) funny bits werent worth the $15. Tho, on a cheerier note, if you like poxy movies, then this ones for you... :)

Be nice ;-) I guess I feel guilty if I say anything bad about it because I still love 'The Late Show', and anything that had to do with Mick Molloy, Tony Martin, Bob Franklin and Judith Lucy. I'm still pissed off that the Mick Molloy show was canned so early :-(. But on the other hand, you're right - I definately had some problems with the execution of this film - or maybe it's just the story. The characters just weren't interesting enough if you didn't already know and love them.. I hope Tony Martin goes on to direct again, though - he's definately got potential, and there aren't enough Australian directors/film nerds from our generation. Crap on enough do I? hehe. Have you seen either of the other 2 flicks? Run Ronnie Run is worth it just to see Jack Black sing his 'Kick in the C**T' song >-)

Just cos you like martin/molloy/the late show, you are prepared to put your soul on the line and defend a crap movie!! And lie!! C'mon Crispi, the truth will set you free!! ;) hehe But seriouly tho, I agree, there aren't enough Australilan directors and of the like from our generation(hang on, your generation and my generation could be 2 different generatons :p ) how nasty am i tonight!?! oh well and no i havent seen either of those two movies but i like jack black, so might have to check it out... I saw Mystic River last friday. Hmmm... A movie that 'seemed' so intense and full of life meanings and yet completely dies in the ass in the end :( disappointing... I thought i was going to learn something... bahahaha

Steady on!! :-P I didn't lie - I honestly didn't think the film was that bad. It just wasn't the masterpiece I was expecting. Obviously you feel differently about it :-)

I saw Mystic River last friday. Hmmm...

I hadn't heard of this until you mentioned it, so I had a quick look on IMDB where the only review on the page says it was 'pretentious'. So did you ever see a movie you liked?? ;-)
