Title: Our House EP - Mark Knight
Label: DTPM

DTPM is a label that has been supplying a number of decent house tracks over the last 18 months. Their 8th release is provided by Mark Knight. Mr Knight may be unknown to some, but he has been part of the London House scene for a few years now. In the past he has teamed up with Kevin “K-Boy/Kidstuff” Brooks under the name Mindprint, as well other England based DJ’s. Here he teams up with Martijn Ten Velden. This EP has been selling exceptionally well in London. Our House is a nice house/progressive house track with a definite Kid Creme influence. The Kid Creme influence is apparent in the bass line/rhythm parts with shades of “Hypnotisin” or the Kid Creme remixes of “At Night” (Shakedown) or “Love at First Sight” (Kylie). But I should stress that it is only an influence, and the rest of the parts sound very different. A nice strong house track that would appeal to those who dabble with “progressive” and “synth” sounds. Unfortunately, the flip “feel the sax” mix, though similar, has a disappointing arrangement and is not as strong. Stick to the Original.
