Track:Dem Wicked Sounds - Axwell
White Label

Many would be familiar with the work of Axwell, given mainly his awesome dub remixes on Soulfuric that tend to work at any venue in any set. Axwell brought us “No Reason Pt 1 & 2” and “Libre” under the name Mambana and an awesome remix “So Right” as Jetlag with Brian Tappert. His production work in the past has been great and he does not let us done with “Dem Wicked Sounds”. But what is interesting is Axwell shows of his diversity with a track completely different to his work on Soulfuric. The tracks begins with a phatt bass line and tough beats that creates a groove with a bizarre resemblance to “Who the hell are you” by Madison Ave. Luckily, the Axwell does not go cheese but supplies a tough filtered bass driven track with a ragga style vocal “all of dem sounds - all of dem wikkid” over the top. Nice breakdowns, cut ups and nice screaming and filtered effects thrown on top complementing the rest of the track. May annoy some girly house enthusiasts but sure to please those who like to play dirty.
